Directions to the School

St. Luke’s School is located on the historic grounds of The Church of Saint Luke in the Fields in Manhattan’s West Village. 

By Subway:   
Take the #1 to Christopher Street station.  Walk west on Christopher Street to Hudson Street.  Turn left and follow Hudson Street ½ block south to the School entrance, located next to the Parish House at 487 Hudson Street.  Enter the grounds and proceed directly ahead through the garden to the School gate.

Take the A, C, E, B, D, F or V train to West 4th Street/Washington Square station.  Walk west on West 4th St or Waverly Place to 7th Avenue.  Cross 7th Avenue and continue west on Grove Street to Hudson Street.  The School entrance will be directly ahead.  Enter the grounds and proceed directly ahead to the School gate.

By PATH Train:
Take the PATH train to the Christopher Street Station.  Turn left onto Christopher Street when exiting the station and follow ½ block to Hudson Street.  Turn right and follow Hudson Street ½ block south. The School entrance is located next to the Parish House at 487 Hudson Street.  Enter the grounds and proceed directly ahead to the School gate.

By Bus:
From the East Side:  Take the M8 bus west on 9th Street/Christopher Street.  Exit at Hudson Street.  Walk ½ block south on Hudson Street to the School entrance, located next to the Parish House at 487 Hudson Street.  Enter the grounds and proceed directly ahead to the School gate.

From the South:  Take the M20 bus north on Hudson Street.  Exit at Christopher Street.  Walk ½ block south on Hudson Street to the School entrance, located next to the Parish House at 487 Hudson Street.  Enter the grounds and proceed directly ahead to the School gate.

From the North: Take the M20 bus south on 7th Avenue; exit at Christopher Street.  Walk west on Christopher Street to Hudson Street.  Walk ½ block south on Hudson Street to the School entrance,  located next to the Parish House at 487 Hudson Street.  Enter the grounds and proceed directly ahead to the School gate.

By Car:
From the North:
Take 7th Avenue South to Barrow Street.  Turn right and follow Barrow Street to Hudson Street.  Turn right onto Hudson Street.  The School entrance is on your left, immediately adjacent to The Church of Saint Luke in the Fields.

Travel South on West Street (9A, West Side Highway) to Clarkson Street.  Turn left onto Clarkson Street and follow to Hudson Street.  Take a left onto Hudson Street.  The School entrance is on your left, immediately adjacent to The Church of Saint Luke in the Fields.

Parking:
There are a few parking garages not far from St. Luke's School.  Three to consider are:

If you park on the street, be sure to read the street signs carefully and obtain the necessary parking meter ticket.
