Construction

It’s hard to believe, but all the dreaming, visioning, and planning over the past eight years is about to result in a newly configured and much expanded St. Luke’s School. As you are probably aware, we have executed a 49-year lease assuring our continued presence on the block. Thanks to the funds raised during our capital campaign, combined with a $12,000,000 loan, we are able to kick off this new phase in St. Luke's history.

It is exciting to think of walking into a 4,500 square foot gym (twice the size of our current gym), nine new classrooms, and additional space for science and art in September 2017. While the design allows our children to interact across grade levels in a variety of ways, it will also allow us to create designated early childhood, elementary, and middle school spaces for the first time. Of equal importance, we will have an elevator and bathrooms that make St. Luke’s welcome to people of all abilities.

But first, we have to get there, and we wanted to share with you some of our construction plans and how they may affect your child. This section of our website will provide you with up-to-date information on construction, but we are also happy to answer any additional questions you might have.

Don't hesitate to contact us at construction@stlukeschool.org, and we will get back to you as quickly as possible.

Although the school may be building, let the standards of our community and the depth of our caring ground our interactions and conversations as we continue to serve our children.

With care,

Bart Baldwin
Head of School
