The arts are an essential component of the learning experience at St. Luke's.

Our programs are grounded in experience and exposure: students are encouraged to take risks and explore creative expression in multiple forms, even unfamiliar ones. We believe that every child is capable of being an artist.

From Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8, students are given the opportunity to develop their artistic literacy and to ignite their creativity and curiosity. Through our programs in visual arts, music, drama, and dance, we encourage students to explore their talents, express themselves creatively, and develop a deep appreciation for the arts. Each of these disciplines and their accompanying knowledge and skill sets are cultivated in a sequential and developmentally appropriate manner. With varied opportunities to become an artist individually and in collaboration with others, our students learn to engage thoughtfully in the generative process of creation.

Dance

The dance program at St. Luke’s School is designed to blend the artistry of dance with the physical and cognitive benefits of movement, offering a holistic approach to dance education.
