Participation in athletics is an integral part of student life at St. Luke’s.
Our interscholastic program allows students to pursue their interest in sports while developing leadership and teamwork skills and promoting physical fitness. Athletes compete against other New York City independent schools such as Village Community School, Friends Seminary, City and Country School, Little Red/Elisabeth Irwin (LREI), Grace Church School, The Packer Collegiate Institute, Poly Prep Country Day School, The Cathedral School, and Bank Street School for Children.
A hallmark of St. Luke’s athletics program is its inclusive support of all students.

My favorite part about St. Luke’s Athletics is its connection to the neighborhood. Whether it was the softball field across the street, running along the Hudson River, or walking to and from basketball games, athletics gave me a sense of home.
