Fundraising FAQs

We ask every family to contribute to the Annual Fund each year to help support our general programs and operations. We also run campaigns for special projects such as building and program expansions. Annual gifts help us live. Capital gifts help us grow. If you can only make one gift to St. Luke’s, we'd ask that you direct it to the Annual Fund.

We ask every member of the school community – current and past parents, alumni, grandparents, current and former professional staff, and friends to participate. Last year, gifts to the Annual Fund ranged from $25 to $25,000+. We need and appreciate every gift, no matter the size. Your participation – at any level – demonstrates your support of our community and helps us reach our financial goals.

Because all of our students benefit from gifts to the Annual Fund, we ask that every family make St. Luke’s one of their top giving priorities and contribute at whatever level works best for them. Each dollar supports everything from the latest technology and hardware, to the best teaching tools and classroom equipment, athletic and arts programs, safety and security for our campus, maintenance and upkeep, financial assistance, as well as faculty salaries and compensation – all aspects of the school from the nitty-gritty to the inspiring.

The Annual Fund provides the foundation each year for our fundraising efforts. We ask each family to make this gift a priority when deciding how to contribute to St. Luke’s School. We strive for 100% parent participation because high participation builds community and inspires others to give.

Yes. While donating is strictly voluntary, we need everyone’s participation every year. Nearly all of our professional staff have donated to the Annual Fund for the past five years! Our fundraising year starts in July 1 and ends on June 30 of each year.

Everyone is encouraged to give to the best of their ability, and we understand that means different things at different times. We simply ask you to make a gift that is meaningful to your family. Achieving 100% participation is crucial, so deciding the giving level that is right for your family and participating during the campaign is most important. Ideally, a family’s giving reflects their commitment to St. Luke’s School, their desire to support the school’s mission, and their individual circumstances.

Although the Annual fund is open all year long we appreciate families making their commitments as early as possible. The new Annual Fund starts on July 1 of every year. Families will receive an invitation to participate in the fall and many donors chose to make their gifts before the end of the tax year on December 31.
